Giving Thanks

This is a difficult post to write because everyone is always so thankful this time of year, making it hard not to sound trite and insincere. However, today is a great reminder of where our focus should be as the beautiful colors above fade into the barren landscape and cold of winter.  Thankfully, life is ever-changing. This year, the days leading into Thanksgiving here in Charlotte were freezing, soggy assaults on our joyful preparation for a day with family and friends, but our reward is today’s beautiful blue sky, an azure reflection of life’s rebirth in spring.  We appreciate that there is always something to look forward to, as long as you look far enough ahead.
